Dear University Center Club Members, n this season of new resolutions and fresh starts, I find myself reflecting on the hectic & FUN year it has been here at the University Center Club! Between Hurricane Michael and the Florida Elections, it's been a WILD ride! Here are some of my favorite highlights from 2018: Did you know we served more than 57,200 Chicken Wings this year?! In the Dunlap Champions Club and in our UCC Member space on the 3rd floor (affectionately dubbed "Club Doak" by our staff) we served a whopping 51,527 people at 7 Florida State home football games. We said goodbye to some of our long-time employees as they followed their paths; and this same year we have some former team members (Hi, Pam! Hi, Melinda!) who have returned to us. We welcomed 335 New UCC Members. Our Private Events Department coordinated more than 700 private events (vs. 616 in 2017). We donated dinner to a group of Florida Army National Guardsmen after Hurricane Michael, plus collected more than 100 lbs of dry food goods for the FSU Food Pantry. With so much to be proud of, we are anticipating a SPECTACULAR 2019! Some things our Members can look forward to: Refreshes to our beloved ballroom space, a new "Club Eats" program, ClubCorp's new mobile app, and some new member traditions. My hope for each one of our Members, UCC Staff and Florida State family is 12 months of success, 52 weeks of laughter, 365 days of fun, 8,750 hours of joy and 31,536,000 seconds of happiness.
