Hello Town Point Members! My name is Dathon Compton, and I have the privilege of being your new General Manager here at Town Point Club. I could not be more excited to be a part of the Hampton Roads community and aim to turn that excitement into a more positive and elevated experience for all of you. Here is a brief history of my journey to Town Point Club. I was born in New England and lived there until I became a Virginia local in 1995. Living in Yorktown, I attended Johnson & Wales University and received a degree in Culinary Arts in 2002. My passion for food grew into a passion for all things food service related. I have opened and overseen dozens of restaurants along the East Coast in the casual dining world. As a Director of Operations for a local franchise operation, I managed four locations spanning from Chesapeake to Williamsburg. Most recently I was the Director of Food & Beverage at Ford's Colony Country Club. Joining in August of 2021, I immediately found my passion for the Club Business, and am proud to be a member of the Clubcorp team. Moving forward into 2022, my ambition is to bring new found respect and appreciation for the standards that Town Point Club strives to uphold. On both a Member and Team Member front, I will keep a vigilant eye on elevating, and upholding the high standards that separate your Club from anything else offered. I look forward to openly communicating and working together on enhancing our Club from the ground up, with our Board Members being the conduit for honest and open communication.
